What They Say….
Designed by World famous golf course architect Mr. Cabell Robinson, Finca Cortesín layout is simply spectacular. The main features are the length of the course (6,808 mts.) and the great variety of its natural vegetation which includes olive trees and corks. The 18 holes are unique, since every hole is completely different from each other making the course much more enjoyable.
Technically speaking, it is important to emphasize the following features of the course: it has very wide fairways (up to 50 mts.), the bunkers are beautifully shaped and filled with white marble sand, and it also has high quality tee boxes (every hole has several tee platforms so the player finds them always in perfect shape). But without doubt, the greens are one of Finca Cortesín jewels, all built with gentle undulations and with the possibility of being very fast and challenging.
What We Say…..
Finca Cortesin is the rising star of the Costa’s new generation of courses. It will soon be catapulted onto the world stage with the hosting in 2009-2012 of the revamped Volvo World Masters Match Play Championship. The tiger will be prowling!
Finca Cortesin had a show start while the course bedded in. It is however well a truly now a great course particularly for those who like them long. Off the yellow tees it’s a good challenge and off the whites it requires distance and accuracy. A couple of par 3’s will require heavy metal into a wind! This club is also setting the standard in terms of service. They do all the little things right and you will come away with the feeling that you will return soon. The only slight negative is that the terrain is a tad exposed but for most of the year it’s a warm wind that blows.

Lucky enough to have apartment next to Finca Cortesin Golf club – fabulous greens and course looking mature despite it being new. Very challenging but spectacular for holiday in costa del sol golfing.

Just returned from Spain having played Rio Real, San Roque old, Sotogrande and Finca Cortesin. Finca Cortesin has to be one of the best experiences that i’ve had on a golf course. From the moment we arrived we were trated like royalty. I had barely parked the car and a staff member was waiting to take our clubs to the first tee. We were then shown where all the amenities were and had a lovely breakfast overlooking the practice area which was superbly set up. When we arrived at our buggy having tsken some time at the complimentary driving range, all our refreshments for the day were already supplied. The course itself is magnificent, absolute immaculate condition from tee to green and a super test of golf. We had barely two holes played and another staff member greeted us with more water and fruit for the round. This continued for the full 18 holes. This, in my opinion, is a must if you are travelling to the south of Spain. The service at Finca Cortesin was fantastic with extremely friendly staff who made us feel very welcome at the Club.

Finca Cortesin – what a course.
If you are up to it play it off the back tees. It might kill you after 5 hours of trashing the ball and your arms may grow a few centimetres but it’s something you won’t forget and it’s great for the old chat afterwards.
Don’t even dream of trying to walk it though unless you are really into inflicting pain on yourself.
